Mentoring During the Pandemic FAB is committed to be creative during this time to help mentors and students remain in contact. We know that mentoring is even more important now than ever before. Students pick up on the fear and unsettled feelings of the adults around them and need adults who will be consistent and safe. They need to express the feelings that are inside.
FAB is continuing to listen to FISD for their plans for the fall and are going to be as involved as we can be, using technology and safe protocals to help mentoring and OTTER continue no matter what it may look like!
Become a mentor!
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.” — Oprah Winfrey
FAB board would like to encourage more adults to step in as mentors in the public schools, Matching students before the end of the school year is an important thing! It gives the student something to look forward to and makes the fall go smoother. Contact Lori McClellan, FAB administrator at 830-990-4595 or email@example.com for more information.

Online Donations for Mentoring or Scholarship!
FAB functions primarily with the generous support of FISD. We also rely on donations from the community. You may donate in memory or honor of a loved one or pay your yearly or lifetime dues! You may donate to the Scholarship Fund or to the Operational Fund (Mentoring/OTTER Program),
Another way to contribute: AMAZON SMILE! Every little bit helps!
When shopping online with Amazon, they will donate a small percentage of your purchase to a non-profit organization. You must select Fredericksburg Academic Boosters on the Smile website, which is different than the regular one. Follow this link to get started:
