Mentoring During the Pandemic FAB is committed to be creative during this time to help mentors and students remain in contact. We know that mentoring is even more important now than ever before. Students pick up on the fear and unsettled feelings of the adults around them and need adults who will be consistent and safe. They need to express the feelings that are inside.
FAB is continuing to listen to FISD as we transition back to in-person mentoring starting in April. We will continue using technology and safe protocols. OTTER will hopefully return before the end of the year as well.
Our 2020-2021 Coordinators: Angela Compton (FMS), Holly Shepard (FHS), Juli Bahlinger (OTTER at FPS), Karen Petermann (Stonewall Elementary), Amy O'Neil (FES). Not pictured is Connie Minshew (FES).
Become a mentor!
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.” — Oprah Winfrey
During this unprecedented time, mentoring is more important than ever. Our students need trusted adults to express their fear and uncertainty. To our current mentors, please stay in contact with your student. Contact your mentor coordinator if you need help. Contact Lori McClellan, FAB administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

Online Donations for Mentoring or Scholarship!
FAB functions primarily with the generous support of FISD. We also rely on donations from the community. You may donate in memory or honor of a loved one or pay your yearly or lifetime dues! You may donate to the Scholarship Fund or to the Operational Fund (Mentoring/OTTER Program),
Another way to contribute: AMAZON SMILE! Every little bit helps!
When shopping online with Amazon, they will donate a small percentage of your purchase to a non-profit organization. You must select Fredericksburg Academic Boosters on the Smile website, which is different than the regular one. Follow this link to get started:
